I got some speedtech uca for my 69 firebird. Decided to go fancy and used Pozzi's template for the guldstrand mod. When I finished and measured the hole placement, I have dropped front holes by 1.00/1.10 driver side/pass side. Close to pozzi's 1.060. However, the rear holes are dropped 0.788/0.879 driver/pass. Pozzi recommended 0.775. Besides the fact that I apparently cannot use a center punch, are these acceptable or do I need to use the stock holes?

Thanks and flame on

Theoretically, there is a difference. Practically, you are not going to be able to tell. Ever seen video of how much a suspension bushing deflects? Your 0.1" is a drop in the bucket

It will be OK. The drill wanders, so starting out with a small pilot hole and going up in 3 steps is the best way to keep the holes on track, but even then you can see variances.

The G mod is fairly conservative compared to some of the tall spindles out now that are 1 1/4" taller than stock.

One word, Unibit. Center punch, pilot hole and away you go!
