I want to drop the front of my 69 camaro suspension. Should I use Heidts 2" drop spindles which should correct geometry or use Hotchkis 3" drop coil springs? My fear with the springs would be that it moves the a-frames up too high toward the inner fenders. i'd like some feedback from those who have been at this same y in the road decision. I also don't want to invest in the upper and lower control arms at this point but might do so once the car is on the road. I've already been waiting 8 years and almost there.

depends upon if you like the springs you have or need new ones. One can just cut down the ones you have to get to the height you want. Do a search on here lots of info.

I'd go with a combination of springs and spindles to get the geometry right. I don't think achieving all your drop with one or the other is a good idea. I'd look at AFX spindles for about a 1" drop, and then get whatever springs give you the best LCA angle.

Drop Spindles are not the best choice for lowering a car, they can affect turning and handling in a negative way. A better method for stance and handling is to lower the car using geometry corrected A-arms along with lowering springs. That way the car will sit right and handle well. Even just springs and bars will give the car a good solid stance and improve handling... and when you're ready you can upgrade with additions like a-arms.

Hotchkis offers everything from dropsprings (http://www.hotchkis.net/6769_fbody_6874_x_body_front_sport_coil_springs_3_ drop_small_block.html) to a full TVS (http://www.hotchkis.net/6769_gm_camarofirebird_tvs_system_big_block.html) system for lowering your car and improving the drivability. We're so into Camaros that we've even started an all Camaro handling Blog. (http://hotchkis.net/blog/)
