Steering Shaft Question...

Is there any way to get around the exhaust manifold with the steering shaft from stock steering column to a rack & pinion? I want to run Corvette C5 manifolds on my LS1 but they obscure a straight shot for the steering shaft. My other option is to run the original F-body manifolds and cats to start with, definately not my first choice!

A bump for anyone who is running an LS1 and rack & pinion in their 1st gen Camaro and had to get creative with the steering shaft to clear their exhaust!
