I am looking at ways to install a 2003 C5 corvette rearend/transmission into a 67 camaro. Right now I am in the investigation stage to see if it is pratical and feasable on a moderate budge. I have found a few posts on here with projects that have done this, but they are all faily old posts. Any suggestions on how it can be done or where I can find any information on how to do it would be greatly appreciated.

Installing a C5/6 independent rear in a Camaro will require you to cut out the entire rear of the car and build a new frame. The independent rear sits pretty high in the car (at least on mine with a ride height of 5-inches) which means you'll have to build a new floor and heavily modify the stock inner tubs, or cut them out and build new ones.

You can use the stock Vette rear support cradle, but it'll have to be narrowed. I chose to build my own that unbolts, similar to the stock unit.

There are a few on here that have done it, though they were done a while ago.

How about just getting this? (from the for sale forum)

At least you could see a way to do the swap. Darn cool car, too bad I'm beyond broke.
