Ok Gang, I have narrowed my wheel choice down to the Rushforth Fuels in 17/18".. For the suspension I am looking at the Hotchkis 1.5" or 3" rear drop (1" coil drop in front)...
Is there any downside to the 3" rear drop? My car will just be a cruiser...

For reference, free pimp pic of my car.. lol

We sell and install a lot of suspension from multiple manufacturers. Before 4 links were available we did quite a few 3" leaf spring drops.

I am not a big fan of a 3" leaf spring drop. The spring ends up nearly flat and to support the vehicle weight, has to be a high rate spring and everyone we have done rides like doo doo.

Were it me I would do a 1 1/2" Hotchkis spring kit and combine it with their Hotchkis shocks.

I wonder if the shortest leaf is hitting too hard on the 3" drop version.

Didn't Hotchkis post that they had achieved their 3" drop through the spring eyes orientation? Maybe that alleviates the flattened spring behaviors?

GW has CAT 5 spring with a reversed eye (under spring instead of on top) to get 3" drop.
