Bet the driver of that pickup will not blow the stop signs figuring no one is coming. When I lived in rural Michigan so many people got nailed running stop signs and their answer was always the same......"it is the middle of nowhere so I never stop for it in the past". Happens alot out in the desert like around Victorville-Phelan. What the is in the trailer? Looks like cylinderhead castings.

Being a towny, I wasn't long figuring out that you don't mess with the farm boys and you don't tangle with farm equipment.
The combine owner is lucky he didn't have the head on the combine. As it is, I doubt the combine sustained much damage.

after looking at where the dash ended up, i doubt there were just minor injuries. the damage to the door shows it had to be popped, so theres no way he just got out, unless the local FD just used it for training.

Now I know combines are very heavy and they can move at a good clip when out on the open road going between farms but how good are their brakes? That truck was pushed very far into the ground. That took a lot of force to do that. I don't even want to know what the repair cost is on the combine. Lord those things are expensive.

Combines take a bit to stop if they are at full speed. Think about it, brakes are usually not the big need in the field. And as far as repair cost for the combine, I'd say it is minimal due to the fact that there probably wasn't much damage on it since they are built like tanks.

I agree. Here in Ontario the head has to be removed if they are driving on the roads. The area the truck hit is where the head is mounted, and you can bet that part of the combine is built good and sturdy.
