Congratulations Mary!

She can drive that's for certain!

Well -- and the car is set up pretty well too! But I think she could beat me if she was in a shopping cart... and I had her car!

Just got in the door and have yet to figure out why this nasty cold loves me so much. This weekend was so weird from a driving standpoint as between the supercharged cough syrup and some cool drugs that Mike Maier recommended, most everything behind the wheel felt slow motion. Mike ended up besting my fastest time by about .5 seconds so I'm blaming him for my lack of cognizance ....

The car was great and I made lots of adjustments to the VariShocks getting the car softer, and softer ... and yet softer still. By the last couple of runs, it felt like a waterbed but really was compliant and worked well. Have no idea where I ended up on the final settings. Must go underneath and count turns so I can write these adjustments down for next year's Good Guys autocrosses.

Much tighter and shorter course than what we ran last summer but it was very fun and well laid out. No one augered into fencing or barriers which was also good. Some very cool cars were there too.

So does this mean I get the first official OPTIMA invite for next year's event????

Cheers,
Mary Pozzi

Atta girl!

One of the more entertaining things you can do is roam around one of the Bay Area auto-x events during whatever run group Mary happens to be running in. Invariably there will be at least one joker who makes with the wise cracks when he sees the 37 year old orange/red/ghost flamed sled roll to the line. The shock and dismay when she lays down a blistering run is not to be missed.

I know the one thing she can't do...get David off the internet (or out of his recliner) and out in the shop to get some work done. :)

Congrats Mary!

Great job Mary! Hopefully I will be ready to battle with you by the May show 2010.

Here are photos of Mary and overall fastest Mike Maier. These two made the show.
