After several months of beating the crap out of project Velocity, we have finally finished development of the new sway bar that was designed for it. The design is similar to the 58-64 Impala bar that was debuted earlier this year, with the bolt on arms. After spending a significant amount of time testing different bar diameters we settled on a 1.5" diameter bar along with our PosiLink endlinks to best control the roll.

Will these work on the majority of aftermarket / oem lower control arms?

We have only fit them up with our StrongArms. However, our StrongArms were designed to work with a factory style sway bar. So, theoretically it should be close to fitting, but you will need to have to watch the PosiLink alignment. Check it through full suspension travel to make sure that it does not bind.

You will have to pardon me for asking but what is the advantage other than looking much cooler that a factory style sway bar? More tire clearance? This is why most of the aftermarket frames use the splined bars is to give more clearance.

Thanks and don't get me wrong, you guys make great shtuff!

Is that a 1-1/2" solid bar? If so that's pretty aggressive given that similar materials and levers makes for a bar over 7X stiffer than a 1-1/8" hollow Hotchkis part. Even with a 1/8 wall tube it's over 3X.

It's a 1.5" hollow bar. .134" wall.
Yes, it does allow for more tire clearance. We are running an 18 x 8" rim and the tire just touches the frame rail at full lock and still clears the bar. Also the Posi-Links eliminate the need for a poly bushing. By keeping the sway bar positively engaged at all times, your car is always "on the bar" versus compressing the bushing as you begin to turn the wheel. Gives it a more positive feel.

Darren, any pricing/availability on the new bar? The "old" one is the only one listed on the website.

Can this be mounted to a Stock sub on a 69 F-Body?
Any issues if you have Rack and Pinion Steering?
Thanks

Yes, this sway bar is designed to work with a stock subframe. We have not fit it up to any rack and pinion kits, but I don't forsee any problems, being a rear steer car.

What's the difference between the two sway bars you offer for the 67-69 camaro?
