I have a Pioneer HU that currently has a multi disc cd changer attached to it. I was also recently given an IPOD that I have burned all of my cds to. So the multi disc changer is obsolete. There are two different ways I can connect my ipod to my HU. One is a direct cable. The other is a control unit.

Is anyone using either of these methods to connect your ipod to your Pioneer HU??

What do you like or dislike about your setup. NoImage = NoSigImagedocument.write(pgdCode("

do it the way by cord from Pioneer they work awesome and you can control the ipod by the HU. Way to go and you will love it. The only down side is its not as fast as scrolling through the Ipod itself

I have the Pioneer AVIC-D3 in my truck and bought the Pioneer iPod cable and never looked back. My HU displays, playlists, artist, song title and even lets you play PodCasts. It also charges the iPod.

The only thing it does not do, that I wish it did was display Album Cover artwork.

What HU do you have? I can tell you about its operation and what to expect if you share the model number...

Thanks

It's a DEH-P860MP

It's my understanding that with this HU the cable adaptor doesn't do as much as the interface box version.
