Has anyone ever gone distributorless on a BB Mopar? I have most of it figured out (trigger kit, coils, ignition box, harness, etc), except what to do about capping off the dist hole. The only thing I can come up with is to butcher off the bottom half of a dist and retaining the shaft and gear to run on the cam. I have surfed til the wheels fell off to find someone who makes such an animal. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Yes, Scroll down to to the post titled "Driving the oil pump after converting to Distributorless Ignition." This conversion is for a 455 Pontiac that I am converting to the Ford EDIS.

I know my boss has a wedge motor in his race car, and it has some kind of plug in place of the distributor.
Does the distributor drive the oil pump on a Mopar? If so you might need to keep some of those components.
