Our 65 cutlass has a 5 gal. tank and cannot seam to go from completly compressed to ride height without stopping to compress more air. Does this seam normal? Tank pressure is 150 and we are using a complete levelpro air ride system.

I've always heard 3gals capacity per end of vehicle on air so 5gals is close. Is it unusual w/5-6 gal air reserve for the comp to cycle when airing up all 4-corners from max deflation? No, it's normal.

What pressure are you running at ride height?
I have a 70 Chevelle (w/ a big block) and a 5 gallon tank, it will raise to ride height no problem. I also have the LevelPro system on it. I am running about 105psi up front and 40 in the rear. (You want to make sure you drive it at about mid travel, my car has about 5" of travel, and ride height is about 3" from compresssed and 2" from fully extended)

One easy trick to help it out is to deflate the front until the suspension bottoms out, then stop. So, do not deflate it to 0 psi, if the suspension stops at 50psi, stop there.
