I installed a full TVSS Kit on my 68 camaro convertible. The car is a small block with aluminum heads. My question is that i don't think that i got the drop that they advertise. My first question starts with the rear suspension. I'm running a 17" rim, TT 2's with 285/40 tire that measures approx 25-1/2" tall and the distance from the ground to the center of the wheel opening is 27-3/4". If i went to a multi leaf shock plate from the stock monoleaf plate would this change the distance from the tire to the fender? I don't know what backspacing rim i have so i don't know if i will have clearance issues. The front is the same issue. I'm running a 235/40 tire on 17" rim but it is a different series goodyear, it's 23-1/2" tall and the distance from the ground to the center of the fender lip is 26-3/4". I'm missing some weight on the front end, hood is currently off, power steering pump and a/c compressor. But would this make that much of a difference in the height? What are my options to try and close the gap? Will an 18" rim/tire set up change the space? The car is a black convertible with pearl houndstooth so i'm also looking for some rim finish/color suggestions? do i have something installed wrong?
Thanks for the input.

Your tires are not very tall at all, and I think that is part of your problem.

Herre are two 67 cars we have installed TVS kits on in the last couple months. Both cars are running 26" tall tires.

Here is a picture of my 68 with Hotchkis coils and leafs along with their shocks. This is the same as the TVS kit but before it was offered. https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/vbpicgallery.php?do=big&p=3628

285/40-17 should be 26" tall, so comparable to the cars Frank showed.
