I know sway bars are a spring steel, and cutting 5" out of the center and rewelding (posibly with an outer sleeve) isn't the right way, or is it, so, does anyone know a sway bar company that can make custom sizes?

I read an article about Wheel To Wheel, they added Corvette suspension to an older model car and spliced the front bar by welding a sleeve over the cut ends in the center.

Tryed that web site and they don't seem to mention anything about sway bars. I am going to try calling a few this week, aadco, hotchkiss, and whoever else I find.

All of the custom bars that I have had done were through Scott Hellwig himself.

I just dropped the bar, or its likeness, into a box... shipped it to him... and I got back a damn good product in a very short turn around.

Yep, Hellwig is great to deal with and the price is right as well.

Some of those shadetree guys over at Grassroots have even welded portions of another stock bar to the original bar. Well, whatever works!

Another...more aesthetic...approach is to use the torsion bars and arms available from the suppliers for sprint cars.
