can anyone tell me what it will take to put a decent quick ratio steering set-up in my 70 nova and what if any cars might i be able to use from the junk yard to make it happen? i dont mind not having power but spinning the wheel 2-3 rotations just to make a turn got old a long time ago.

well my budget is pretty low thats why i was hoping for junk yard parts but it is a sloppy manual steering set up now that i just want to swap for a quick-ratio. like i said i dont really need power steering.

Im not sure they make a quick ratio manual box..... That would be like steering a brick at slow speeds/

The power steering box from a 73/74 motecarlo should bolt right up. It does in my elcamino. You do have to change some fittings though. The rebuilt pump cost me $67 from a local auto parts store and the fittings were anothe 20. The unit is a quick ratio unit and does wonders compared to your stock unit. But i have driven a lee equipped car and it's that much better again. I will upgrade to a lee unit when I get the rest of my upgrades finished But until then this will do.
