I was runnning the brass holley inlet fittings and want to change them out to the blue anodized fitting as shown in the picture below.
Upon removal of the brass fitting I noticed there is a copper looking piece with a spring in the hole. When I try to use the copper looking piece with the spring and the blue anodized fitting, the blue fitting doesn't screw in all the way and basically the copper fitting is jammed up inside the hole, thus making the piece and spring useless.
Do I need this copper piece with the spring?
