Grand Cherokee steering box - sticks

I installed the GC box and it feels good but when you turn quick it sticks a little then turns. I used Lee's fitting's (didn't want to get custom hoses). I also took all the shims out of the presue valve.

Any idea what's causing it?

By the way it's in a 1969 GTO; I'm using the stock pump.

If it sticks in one spot then loosens up, the box is probably damaged. Usually it's like a flat spot in the steering than needs more force to get past when turning either way.
