I need to lower the front end a half inch, and need to know how much coil to cut to achieve this. I just updated to SC&C stage 2 kit tried the Eibach springs and was just to low. Put the stock height springs back in and is close but would like to drop another half inch

lol i know this isnt what you want to hear but you should cut 1/2 a coil at a time so you dont go too far.

Do it over the course of a month or if you are crazy a week.

Cut the spring half a coil reinstall, drive for a day.

Want lower? repeat.

A half inch could be difficult to reach. It could be as little as 1/4 coil at a time to get that, but it might get you lower. It's just something you've gotta be careful with, and try to be patient about it. Also, see what Marcus would suggest you do.

1/2" I'd go put a few hundred miles on it first.

You could also put the Eibach springs back in, and then ad a spring rubber between the coils to see if that put you where you wanted.

I think this would be the best option since the Eibach's have a stiffer spring rate and wont sag like a stock spring will.

To me it just doesn't make sense to use a stage2 kit and then go with mushy stock springs.

Someone else recently had this issue with Eibach springs and Marcus chimed in saying that Eibach has been mismarking some of their parts. You may want to give him a call...

normally the rate is 2-1 due to the fact that the spring is halfway between the pivot point and the spindle.
This means that whatever you cut, the car will be lowered the double of that.
If you want the car 1/2" lower I'd just drive it around a bit before doing anything as Mrquick suggested.
