i have a 73 nova and i bought a 1 1/8'' sway bar for it a while back not thinking about it. i always thought the bigger the bar the better. and i personally think the car handled great but professionals say too stiff a bar and you'll create understeer. which i have definatly noticed in the rain. i have to take turns pretty damn slow. now as far as a rear sway bar people are telling me that most dont even use them on novas because it causes oversteer. well should i put one of the back to kind of even things out? or am i not thinking about this the right way? i've got as much rubber as i can get as far as tires go. i've got 17x8's up front and 17x11's in back. the car is also lowered 2'' all around.

if it understeers you need to add some rear bar

18x8 245/40 front 18x8 255/45 rear 1 1/8 bar up front none in rear no understeer problem even in rain. May want to look elsewhere like alignment/tire choice.

What kind of springs are you running? I've got a 1 1/8" Hotchkis bar and the 2" drop Hotchkis springs and my car oversteers.
