I have a steering gearbox from an 89 Formula 350 installed in my 71 Cutlass. I did this in '90, along w/a TPI motor, and I had Tom Lee adjust the stops to make it work in the A-body. Over time my steering is loosening, and I will be replacing the idler arm, tie rods etc, but may upgrade the steering box w/one of these new "rack and pinion" boxes that SC&C sells.

Is the only difference in between the 800 & 670 that marcus sells the price and weight, but they drive and feel the same? Also, how much improvement have you found by swapping from a 3rd Gen steering gearbox to a 670?

Any thoughts appreciated.

I talked to Marcus about the exact same question you have when I was ordering a new box for my Z28 from him. I think price and weight sums it up pretty well; they will feel and perform the same. If your not sure which way to go, give Marcus a call, I'm sure he'll be more than happy to help you out.
