I have 1971 400 small block bored to 408. Forged pistons, towing cam. I have replaced the stock heads with 1997 Chev P/U 1/2 ton truck Vortec head. ( machined to work )

The plus are different lengths
What would be the best plug to use?
Stock or Vortec. Is there a good brand or heat setting?
Thanks for your help.

If you guys like the NGK look at the double platinum AC Delcos that fit those heads some of the technology from the Rapidfire line and from NGK went into those and they hold up even better than Iridiums from what I have seen. Now if you have a boosted application straight AC Delcos will blister and bubble before failing as AC uses a softer less brittle ground electrode.
We used to run NGKs in a few engines and after plattering the ground all over the piston/head I went back to the ACs and tada it never melted one off again.
A lot of people have thrown plugs my way but I have had one engine that had a free set of Bosch Platinum 4s and my Delcos.
Heck I got over 2 1/2 yrs from a set of Bosch Supers, most times they gave me fits at work but we had a guy who wanted platinums in his car and thats what we stocked Supers and Platinum 2s and he got them free and I kept the supers with about 5 miles on them.
