I recently joined this forum and i thought i would share some progress pictures for the hardtop. the rear is done now, other than that little detail that i left on the very back, i thought it might look neat but i dont like it now.

Will be Awesome. I'm building a 67 Firebird right now. I see the potential in yours a lot like I see in mine.

that is a really awsome idea for the removeable hard top, awsome car too. did you use a donor roof for the hardtop? or are there companies that manufacture them? cant wait to see more pics of the ride. :icon996:

heh i wish i could buy a kit, wait a minute no i don't. Nah its from an old rusted out fastback, about the only thing that was good on it was the top.

what kind of wheels are those? do you think i could find some with the proper backspacing and such for a 73' dart swinger?

they are off a 97-98 mustang gt. you can probably get them to work with spacers

I have been really busy at work lately so time on the mustang hasnt been to regular. here are a few new pictures of the hardtop progress. The only thing left is the passenger side window, then i can work on finishing the body work. I have decided that it would be a lot easier to go with a fiberglass mold instead of trying to do it all in metal. I did the rear deck portion out of metal but since i dont have a shear and a brake at home i took the easy route. keep in mind that it is only roughed in right now.

Uh Dude, That's not a Camaro? You sure your at the right board.
Just kidding, nice to see something besides a Camaro. I did not imediatly catch the covertible, but thought something looked funny about the door glass. Cool idea, good luck.
