I just heard the sad news, we lost a fellow hotrodder recently. Rex Orr was the founder of American Sports Car Design (http://americansportscar.com/), makers of popular fiberglass hoods. His most popular hood to our group is the SS style hood that is found on the Year One '69 pacecar.

Rex was a cool cat, I really enjoyed hanging out with him at the various hotrod events and Year One events.

RIP Rex, you will be missed!

I really hate to hear that. I met Rex about 10 years ago at the Charlotte Autofair when I worked for Mustangs Unlimited (I had a 95 Z28 at the time), and worked with him a little more when we added his line at Year One/Next Generation. I sold LOTS of his hoods! I just ran across one of his old catalogs (96 or so), and was going to call him about a hood for my '81 Vette. RIP Rex! A good man.

What happened? Illness or accident?

Sorry to hear about it, he sounded like a good guy.
