Years ago I needed to swap out the stock go pedal in my '68 Camaro with one that would convert it to a cable system. I was in luck when Lokar came out with one and I didn't have to fabricate something.

I wasn't a big fan of the style of the rubber insert pedal so I never bought the matching ones for my clutch and break pedal. I figured some day I would make my own. Recently Modo Innovations started making these cool pedals that hit the spot for the look I wanted but, I still had a problem. I would still have to make a gas pedal to match the Modo units.

Low and behold Modo Innovations has just come out with a pedal to replace the Lokar unit! I am styling now! Everything seen below can be ordered using part number MI 110L

Below are some pictures of my install. I didn't install them exactly like the instructions say because my pedals were already out of the car. Make sure you read yours well and have the recommended tools on hand along with a pair of safety glasses when you are center punching and drilling.

The instructions recommend to cover your stock pedals with tape to make it easy to see the marks you will make later.

I lined up the backing plate for the Modo pedals and then I clamped them on. I left the clamps out of the picture to make it easier to see.

Here you can see the marks I made with a Sharpie.

Next you need to center punch the holes to help keep the drill bit from walking around.

Make sure you punch and drill the holes perpendicular to the pedal. Not exactly like the angle below. I tipped up the punch a bit too much in the picture but you get the idea. It was hard to hold everything and take the picture at the same time.

Same with the angle below for the other two holes.

So, here are my taped up and center punched holes. It's now time to drill.

After the holes are drilled all you need to do is screw the Modo pedal covers on. After having done the work with the pedals outside the car I think I may have been better off re-installing them and following the directions more closely. It may have been easier to keep them still while drilling and not have them moving around my workbench/cardboard covered hood.

Below is the Lokar pedal removed and the new Modo Innovations pedal installed.

So here is the final install. Please excuse my mess and lack of carpet. I still have a lot of wiring to do. Not seen in the picture is the small cover for the high beams. I will probably change the steering column and move the high beam switch to it.

In the end it was an easy install and they look great. I can't wait to use them.

Thanks Larry for the great pictures and explanation on the install.
I probably need to do this on my website to show the installation.

Thanks again.

Larry, is it me or are your clutch brake pedals father apart than normal? Looks like my big feet could actually work those!

Sweet install too. I have those on my 'list'.
