I'm trying to figure out what rear leafs to run in my 71.

i'm looking for rates in the neighborhood of 170-200lbs, or so.

90% street car, 5% drag race, 5% open track.

I don't expect 1.5 60', but I would at least like to be able to cut a 1.9 on drag radials. Thus I want a leaf with effective axle wrap control.

I don't expect a luxury ride, but I want to keep my teeth on highway trips.

I don't expect 1.5g of cornering ability, but approaching 1.0g would be nice.

I can NOT lower the car. It's got the stock saggy rear leafs on there now, and I can not go any lower. I can go an inch higher or so, though.

Leafs will be paired with bilsteins or better.

I'm looking at a front spring rate in the 500lb neighborhood.

I have tried contacting some of the speciality designers, however I assume this must be a busy time of year as it's been hard getting consistent responses.

I have already looked at hotchkis and global west, and am convinced that they are not what I'm looking for.

any ideas or suggestions?

Check out the circle track suppliers. AFCO & Landrum are the first ones I can think of.

have any pics of how the rear sits now...? I believe Hotchkis will be okay...they lower the car a bit, but it wil probably be as low as old saggy springs...only they will work properly...
