I made my own steering tank. $26 What do you think of my baffling. They are billet so they must be good right. :drive2:

The main outlet baffle was made out of nessesity because I did a test with just a bung with a hole and filled the tank with water and as it was draining it made a huge vortex (cavitation) and took forever to drain. So I added the baffle and the water drained out in half the time and no disturbances in the water.

So as to not have any other strange fluid motion with the intlet I added a baffle to it but its more of a diverter/disipater(whats the word Im looking for?)

I also made a neck to run a stock saginaw P pump cap.

The tank is a $8 Summit clearance find and holds 32oz (26 at cold fill line)
I know its not a show peice or name brand shiney thing but I think it will work good. what say you

Homemade stuff is what it's all about. Ingenuity man, you got loads of it.

Kinda reminds me of the shift knob I want, too.

Wish I could make *that* at home.

Wow you have a link to where you can get one of those. I dont think I could get the hole so perfect. My lathe at work doesnt have the 2nd mill head required to do it.

Sure do. It's called http://www.billetballs.com/

Cool stuff, but not cheap. 80 bucks for that one shifter ball. I think it's what "Blowfish" is using, and where I saw it at SEMA. Ever since I've wanted one.

Seriously though, good job on that setup there. I'd use it.

$80 wow once the program is written I bet its a 1-2 minute peice to make minus polishing. Assuming they have good equipment. Cant blame em though they are real nice.

Cool! A billet wiffle ball for a shifter knob.
