I just rebuilt the heater box for my 69 Camaro. New heater core and foam gaskets and door seals from year one. My question is there are two seals with holes in them to go over the inlet/outlets. One is thicker and wide than the other. The smaller thinner one has two small holes in it that look as if a screw would go though it. For the life of me I didn't see one of these when I dissassembled the box. I assume the larger one goes over the inlet/outlet tubes before installing the box through the firewall. Does any one know what the small one is for.......another application perhaps. You all will be hearing a lot more from me now that reassembly is taking place:) Thanx, Kevin

I did mine too long ago but if I recall correctly there are extras in the kit, probably as you said other applications.

that would be for a fire wall pad push pin...some cars had it dependant on year.
