Should I buy unpolished stainless headers and have them coated or get polished stainless?

Go for the stainless and get it polished

Personally, I'd go with a coated header. Once you have a header polished, how would you keep it that way?

Anyone have any experience with polished stainless? How long will it look decent?

The polished surface will not be polished for long it will turn a yellowgold in the bends of the headers also slight blue color.I personaly would leave it natural or a Scotbrite look.

Have them ceramic coated on the inside and then polish the outside. They will stay good for a while. Have done this many times and works great.

I hate to bump very old thread, but I going through the same debate right now. I can't decide if I want to go with ceramic coated Hookers or Stainlessworks. And if I go with stainlessworks should I get natural or polished?

I broke my engine with regular steel headers, but once I put the ceramic coated headers on after that, I noticed a large drop in temperature just standing next to the engine.

I would think that would make a good difference in underhood temps.

The slight blue on a polished header is one of my favorite colors...
little hints of gold, thats a good look!
