Seems like a lot of guys doing the LS1/LS2 swap outs are buying them with 40,000 - 80,000 miles already on them. This seems like a lot of miles on an engine. When you got your engines did you have to tear them down completely and rebuild them or where you able to just do a few tweeks and drop them in? Did they run like new? I know that nowadays most of the modern motors can run higher milage than back in the iron block days but, again, those kinds of miles seem kind of high!

An LSx engine with 60k miles or less has a lot of good miles left. Just drop it in.

A 90K mile LS1 will run just as hard as a 20K mile one. Change the timing chain and you're good for another 90K :)
