Okay, so what's the best muffler for use with turbos?

I've heard to avoid any type of chambered muffler.

Would you call a Spin-Tech a chambered muffler? Anyone have experience with these?

I'm currently running no muffler in my system, just downpipes all the way out the back of the car. I have a set of DynoMax bullets sitting here but I don't want to sound like a truck any more than I already do. I love the deep sound of Flowmasters, but (see the above part about chambered mufflers).

I know a guy who knows a guy who said he gained almost 100hp to the wheels on his turbo car after removing the mufflers. So am I going to kill my power by muffling the exhaust? It's kinda loud.

Backpressure is the big issue. Go to www.turbobuick.com and do a search on exhaust. More information than you could ever want to read on this subject.

I would say unless it is too loud to keep mufflers off of the car. I plan to run dynomax bullets on my SBC, I personally like the sound of them.
