Possible bent subframe? 69 camaro

So I sold my Ridler wheels off of my car. I bought a set of 15x7 rally wheels. Well my driver side wheel hits my fender. I cant even turn my wheel. My passender side is fine. The car is been in my garage for two month on the lift. I have two ideas. A: Maybe the rally wheels are different. I triple checked the tire sizes and they are all the same. B: I didnt put my car on the lift perfectly level and it bent my sub frame. I will post pics shortly. [/FONT][/COLOR]

Doubtful you bent your subframe. When was your last front end alignment and to what specs? Stock control arms? How are your subframe bushings? What was the backspacing on your old wheels versus the new wheels?

Never had a front end alignment. I have SPC upper and shock lowers. Sub frame bushing look new. Idk the back spacing on my new Rally wheels. I am about to check out now.

Well I just so happened to pull the wheels off the front. My SPC uppers threads dont match. The drivers side needs to be adjusted. I was thinking about getting ridetech upper and lowers anyway.

You need to get a front end alignment. Excessive caster and positive camber can cause the issues you are having.

Take a couple quick measurements from the center of the back tire to the center of the front tire on each side.
Take another measurement of a fixed point on the back part of the frame to the front sub-frame

may help you make some sense of it.

Judging by those pictures they are VERY different.

You need to find a competent front end shop!

Check that the subframe is in straight before doing an alignment. You can have the alignment shop check them.
There are alignment dowell holes near the center subframe bolts.

I think the sub frame is crooked. You can't even see the driver side dowell hole

I didn't think it was possible to move the subframe enough to obscure the dowel hole. Interesting since it looks like the front end sheet metal lines up OK. Sort of goes with the comments on the other forum about your buckled trans tunnel indicating some kind of collision damage.

What I don't understand is why all this appeared when you changed your wheels with ones the same size and offset.

Here was my old wheels.
Front wheels :18X8 front with 4.5 BS 225/40/18
Rear wheels: 18X9.5 Rear with 5.5 BS: 255/45/18

So from the get go my driver tire would rub when I went full left. I was poking around and the previous owner replaced a few bolts with flat head bolts on the inner fender so it didnt rub. Whoever owned the car before knew it rubbed.
