I wasn't sure where to post this, or if it was even relevant, but I have been thinking about this and curious what others think.
Swapping in a new subframe in my 69 Camaro, and the firewall looks to have a good amount of factory bracing to support the subframe. I am using subframe connectors, but I wonder if it would be a good idea to "beef up" the firewall attachment points at all? Has anyone done this? I don't want to add unneeded weight, but if it helps now would be the time to do it.
I have some minor repairs to make anyway, like the passenger front "torque box" which needs repair... speaking of which, looks like they are not sold independent of the entire firewall.
