I have a g body with a 5.3 in it using the factory 5.3 powers testing pump. The car also has a grand national steering box and upgraded to the jeep steering shaft. My question is, the steering feel is vague and the effort is too light. I thought maybe increase the pump pulley size and and slow the pump, but that isn't an option due to space. How can I increase the effort on my steering and get the vague front end feel out?

Increasing pulley size doesn't work. There are different types of kits to change the pressure or volume that comes out of the pump, here's an example. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/brg-899001?seid=srese1&gclid=CLz0rrD5vMgCFUMTHwod2PAFNw A google search will probably come up with other alternatives.

Thanks for the response, I already utilized a kit like the one you recommended and I couldn't find much on google.

If you have a stock dia steering wheel, try a smaller aftermarket wheel. The smaller dia makes a noticeable difference. I had the same issue with my firebird until I went to a different wheel

Turn One makes an adjustable valve for power steering. You may want to discuss with them on what you can do with what you already have.
