A quick recap of this year’s Peach State Musclecar Challenge:
Location: Atlanta Motor Speedway
Dates: June 27-29, 2014

Though the weather brought some slight on and off rain, the Peach State Musclecar Challenge was a huge success. As many know from the official event thread, this year’s event was not only it’s own event, but also stood as a substitute for this year’s Run Through The Hills event in Pigeon Forge, TN. After a scheduling conflict with the host location left American Streetcar Series out of a venue, they were forced to cancel the Run Through the Hills event for 2014. No worries though folks; the event is scheduled to resume next year. We look forward to having both events back on the calendar for 2015.
This year’s event was held in the Atlanta Motor Speedway parking lot. The lot was a huge area allowing for a wide open yet technical course. There was not an overwhelming amount of participant at this year’s Peach State MuscleCar Challenge, allowing for endless runs and tons of seat time. I have a feeling this may change come next year.
It’s not all about 1st place with ASCS; awards are given for several different reasons. There were some humorous awards, some encouraging awards and then the big award for a spot on this year’s Goodguys Autocross Shootout. Below are some of the winners of the Peach State Musclecar Challenge. We want to thank ASCS and Bill Howell for sharing the photos with everyone on Facebook. Included are some of the names of the winners (there are a couple without names- if you know them please feel free to add them in the comment section below.)

Here are also a couple videos from the event we found on YouTube that were posted by Skid4fun. We thought the one in the rain looked pretty awesome.

He shared the photos on the Peach State MuscleCar Challenge Facebook Page.
