Just bought an 87 silverado r10 and I'm looking for ideas to make it handle better and still keep the rear leafs. I already have a drop kit for it with spindles coils and a flip kit. I know coil overs are the way to go, but those are just not in my budget. I'm curious if any of you know what I can do to improve on what's there.
Oh and front sway bars were optional on these trucks and mine is without.

Having had a similar truck myself in the past I'd say get a Blazer fuel tank behind the rear axle and move the battery as far back as possible. Better sway bars front and rear will help as well.

Just ordered a Hellwig front sway bar. Should help a ton along with the drop springs and spindles. Trying to locate a suburban or blazer tank now

It appears your on the right track with the sway bars, springs and drop spindles. I'd recommend a pan-hard bar as well.
