It seems to me that there aren't any 315/35/17 tires with a 200 tread wear. Will I be able to compete with Kuhmo Ecsta XS tires with a 180 tread wear? Or am I stuck using the NT05 while everyone else gets to use the new Falken or BFG?

Yes, the Kumho Ecsta XS is still a 180 treadwear rating. You can run at the GoodGuys autocross but your times will not count for any classes or awards; you will run as "exhibition."

It's hard to find a wider-size 17" tire anymore and you might want to think about moving up to an 18" wheel/tire combo.

This is exactly my problem. I want to compete but am limited to the Nitto. I guess my decision has been made.

I already have the 14" brakes sitting on the work bench and will be upgrading to 18" wheels in the off-season (Summer).

Thanks For the reply.

How long will it be before 18's will be old news too? Wish the oem's would stop somewhere with their rim sizes as I know that plays a big part in supply and demand. I have one choice for a 200 tire in 335/30/18 now with it being the Rival. Or the uber high dollar Michelins eek! Thinking I may put z2's on the front and Rivals in back unless I get a tire deal somehow lol!

Many that run the BFG Rivals like them ...

If you've got your heart set on the 335/30/18 then that would be the best tire for a 200 tread wear rating.

I will be at Good Guys San Diego this weekend. I'll just keep the Hoosier R6's on the car from Willow Springs last weekend.
