Does anyone make these? Are they still available anywhere? I can't seem to find anyone other than Hotchkiss, but their bars are not triangulated like the VSE style.

1st gen is limited to Hotchkis bars. Is there something about them that you do not like?

You could always buy a set of flanges and make your own bars. JCG sells them:

Those flanges are pretty nice, even though they look to be more or less meant for a cage. I prefer not to use the Hotchkiss bars, they do not appear to be as effective as the VSE bars

I saw Herb Adams Saturday. NPD has his parts in their catalog now. They list them for second gen Camaros only.

Yeah, nobody seems to have anything like that for the 1st gens. I guess it's a good excuse to buy more metalworking tools..

You could go with something like this (https://www.cachassisworks.com/p-2694-camaro-67-69-f-body-exact-fit-front-struts-1-58-mild-steel.aspx)too.

The issue with a first gen is no real good place to attach the bar to the firewall as on a second gen. If the fender to firewall bolt area can be made to hold the top of the frame stiffener that may work. Hotchkis seems to have it figured out pretty good, though.

Couldn't you just attach anywhere on the firewall and just spread out the load with a plate like the Chassisworks photo?

Where we attach them, and with the wider plate, it ties together several overlapping panels which spreads the load significantly.

Carl - that sounds like you guys put some thought into it. The only issue I have is that I'm going straight to the a arms instead of to the front of the subframe. Would you sell the firewall plates separate?

They're not sold separately. All the parts are built in sets.
