Sooo my issue after having everything mounted up, is that my 66 Chevelle Pitman arm is actually a 28 spline 4 master setup, where as my JGC is a 32 spline 4 master setup, so my stock pitman arm will not work. PN on my pitman arm is:5693764B GM C37T..
I have power steering in the car, but it appears that some 66's were equipped with a "13/16" centerlink (and hence pitman) arm" So I will have to order a new pitman arm that is the 1 1/8" splined output.
Bahh, well at least i got it mostly done, after running around town looking for a 1 5/16 socket and then only finding one in a 3/4 drive, which required me to then find a store with a 3/4 to 1/2 drive adapter (done and done). BTW 3/4" drive is huge!!
Not as straight forward as I hoped but getting closer!!
