I currently have a Surefit system in my car, sort of, mechanics screwed that up as well.
Anyhow, do to the mechanics hack job and needing to replace some parts, I'm looking at getting the GEN II unit.
Thoughts? Will the GEN II control panel fit in the stock location? 68 Camaro.
Also, if I keep the Surefit kit or not, I'm looking to run a bulkhead and smooth the firewall. Which one should I get and what lines? The compressor and componants are for 134a refigerant.
I was told I need a drier, will the one I have from the SureFit kit work?
Compressor will be on the passenger side.
Right now, I'm most likely to keep the Surefit, and run a bulkhead and AeroQuip lines and get the Gen II later, but want to make sure the bulkhead and lines are compatible so I don't have to change them later.
So what bulkhead and lines should I use? Type of fittings and bulkhead connections is the main question.
